Cloud Zombie's Film Cupboard - Creature From The Black Lagoon, Horror Express, X-Men: Days of Future Past

Well, well!
Welcome back to another installation of  movie reviews.
A bad movie has past the weekend just gone so I have some oldies on the cards for you.

 Creature From The Black Lagoon
A scientific expedition searching for fossils along the Amazon River discovers a prehistoric Gill-Man in the legendary Black Lagoon. The explorers capture the mysterious creature, but it breaks free. The Gill-Man returns to kidnap the lovely Kay, fiancée of one in the expedition, with whom it has fallen in love. - IMDB
This film popped up at my last bad movie night, it's not a bad movie really it is just an old monster movie that we like to make fun of.
The creatures costume still stands out well. Fun Fact: The person inside the suit did not wear his re-breather because he thought the amount bubbles ruined the effect.

If you love the old black and white monster/scifi charm you'll love this film because it does better than most as a whole.

I give this film: 8/10

Horror Express
An English anthropologist has discovered a frozen monster in the frozen wastes of Manchuria which he believes may be the Missing Link. He brings the creature back to Europe aboard a trans-Siberian express, but during the trip the monster thaws out and starts to butcher the passengers one by one. -IMDB
Inspector Mirov: The two of you together. That's fine. But what if one of you is the monster?
Dr. Wells: Monster? We're British, you know.
First things first this film has two of the greats in it, Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. The Second thing: The monster his hilarious looking.
This film has great fun and was the second to show at my latest bad movie night, I don't think it would have been as good if it had not had Cushing or Lee. I feel as if they carried the film a little, I really liked the story line.

I give this film: 9/10

X-Men: Days of Future Past
The X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants. -IMDB
This was an excellent X-men film, I love the fact that is basically wipes out that X-men: Last Stand ever happens so that is a plus.
It was nice to see the old and new generations of x-men fighting together and seeing the old and young versions of the main characters. The x-men have always been different to most comic book heroes and I used to watch the 90's cartoon as a child.
This is the best instalment so far in the X-men films.

I give this film: 10/10
